The Philadelphia Rebels built an early lead, but a three-goal second period from the Maryland Black Bears proved to be the difference as Philadelphia fell 4–3 on the road Friday night. Jake Schultz scored in the third to bring the Rebels within one, but the comeback bid came up just short.
