Round 5, Pick 146: Jackson Nesheim, 2008 forward from Team Illinois

With the seven picks, the Rebels selected five forwards and two defensemen. Two picks were from each of the following birth years: 2005, 2007 and 2008 while one was from 2006 birthyear. Two players were selected from the United States Hockey League (USHL) and 18UAAA while three players were taken from preparatory schools.

“We are very pleased with how the draft went,” said Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale. “Our scouts, Assistant Coach Julian Biondo, and Director of Scouting Justin Friedman did a tremendous job putting in the work to put together a strong list of names. In turn we were able to be very aggressive with our approach. I feel we were able to take some chances but also address areas of need for next seasons roster,” concluded Hale.

The Rebels main camp will be held from June 26 through June 29 at the Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell, NJ.
