Rebels Head North to Face Titans on Tuesday Night

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Philadelphia Rebels (22-23-1-1, 46 pts) travel north to face the New Jersey Titans (29-14-1-2, 61 pts) on Tuesday night.

So far this season, the Rebels have held the advantage in their matchups with the Titans, winning five of the first seven. Philadelphia has points in six of the seven games and touts a 3-0 record on the road against the Titans.

The Rebels enter having not allowed a goal in their last three games. After a 3-0 shutout win against New Jersey in Middletown last Tuesday, the Rebels returned home and shutout the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks in both games of a weekend series.

Jakub Krbecek and the Rebels have shutout their opponents in four of the last five contests overall. Krbecek has lifted his save percentage to .931, the second best measure in the North American Hockey League.

Philadelphia’s power-play clicked during the weekend series with New Jersey, scoring four times in 12 chances. Two of those four goals came from the stick of Greg Spitznagel, who scored three times and recorded five points in three games last week.

The Titans have not played since the 3-0 Rebels victory last Tuesday. The Rebels are the only team to beat New Jersey in regulation since Oct. 29 and have handed the Titans five of their six losses overall since that date.

Tuesday’s matchup is the final game of the eight-game season series between the Rebels and the Titans.
