Game preview: Rebels return home to play Generals after 9 game road trip

The Rebels will return to the Class of 1923 Arena this evening to play the Northeast Generals for their first home game since January 15 when they last faced off against the New Jersey Titans. During this time the Rebels went 6 – 3 on a nine-game road trip.

Tonight’s game will begin at 7:10pm. The Rebels will be off on Saturday and Sunday but will be home on Monday for a matinee game against the Titans that starts at 4:20pm.

Rebels vs. Generals Overview
This will be the thirteenth meeting between these two teams out of the sixteen they will play this season. All four remaining games, including tonight’s, will be played at the bunker.

Philadelphia has won eight out of twelve games so far outscoring the Generals 50 – 30. The last time these two teams met was two weeks ago when Northeast took two out of three games against the Rebels in Attleboro. The Generals won their last matchup on February 3 by a score of 3 – 2. These teams have split the past six games.

Justin Jallen leads the Generals in points against the Rebels this season with thirteen (6 goals and 7 assists). He also has the most goals against Philadelphia. He is followed by Matt Demelis (2 goals and 8 assists) and Mike Egan’s (3 goals and 7 assists) ten points respectively.  The Generals are 7 for 49 (14%) on the powerplay against Philadelphia. Goaltenders David Fessenden and Marko Sturma have a combined 4.08 goals against average and .888 save percentage with no shutouts against the Rebels.

Rebels Overview
The Rebels enter tonight’s game with a 30-10-3 record for 63 points. They are in first place in the division, and they are thirteen points ahead of second place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. The Rebels are 3 – 2 in their last five games, and they are coming off of a 4 – 3 overtime road win against the Titans this past Wednesday night.

This will be the first home game for the Rebels new point leader Luke Radetic. The Chesterfield, MO native has a total of forty-one points (22 goals and 19 assists) in forty-four games played. Maguyon is second on the team in points with thirty-nine (18 goals and 21 assists). Zerban is third with thirty-one (15 goals and 16 assists). Radetic has scored the most goals with twenty-two.
