Rebels announce schedule for Divisional Semi-Final playoff series against Generals

Apr 7, 2018

The Rebels begin their quest for their third straight appearance in the Robertson Cup Tournament on Friday, April 13 against the Northeast Generals.

Although the team clinched the regular season East Division championship back on March 17, the Rebels did not know its first round opponent until last night.

Northeast entered this weekend’s series against New Jersey four points behind the Titans. Had the Generals swept the series, Northeast would have clinched third place because they would have had more wins than the Titans. As time was winding down in regulation and the game tied at three, the Generals pulled goalie David Fessenden for the extra attacker. Northeast was unable to unable to convert, and New Jersey’s Matt Cameron scored the winning goal with one second remaining to give the Titans a 4 – 3 victory to clinch second place.

The Divisional Semi-Final series is a best of five with the Rebels playing games one, two and five (if necessary) at home at the Class of 1923 Arena at the University of Pennsylvania. Game three (and game four if necessary) will be played at New England Sports Village in Attleboro, MA.

The winner of the Rebels/Generals series will play the winner of the Titans/WBS Knights series in the Divisional final round.
