His commitment begins in September, 2018.
Maguyon, 20, led the team with fifty points (24 goals and 26 assists) in fifty-eight games this past season. He also led the team in goals with twenty-four. He is ranked second in franchise history in points (88), goals (36) and assists (52). He was named the team’s Rookie of the Year for the 2016-17 season and was named the team’s Best Offensive Player this past year.
“I am excited to announce that I will be attending Hobart College this upcoming fall to play hockey and to further my education” stated Maguyon. “I would like to thank to everyone for their support along the way” concluded Maguyon.
“I’m very happy for Mags” said Rebels Head Coach Joe Coombs. “He was a diligent worker. We watched him blossom into one of the top twenty scorers in the NAHL. Hobart is getting a great hockey player and even better person” stated Coombs.
Hobart College is located in Geneva, NY. The Statesmen had an overall record of 18-6-5 last season which included a 12-3-3 conference record. Hobart has appeared in three straight NCAA tournaments and eight in total.
