SEWELL, NJ – The Philadelphia Rebels completed their inaugural Main Camp at Hollydell Ice Arena on Monday.
Over four days, nearly 200 players strived to open the eyes of the Rebels coaching staff. Eight teams worth of players took the ice over the weekend vying to move on to Rebels Training Camp, which begins on Aug. 23.
Main Camp was Head Coach Justin Hale’s first major event as the coach of the Rebels and he was pleased with what he saw throughout camp.
“I think it was a really competitive camp,” Hale said. “I thought the players competed really hard. That was the number one thing the coaching staff asked of them.”
“Overall, I’m very happy with the turnout and the camp,” Hale added.
The next step for the Rebels will be Training Camp, before the first preseason game at home on Sept. 2.
The season will kick off with the league showcase from Sept. 14-17 in Blaine, MN prior to the Rebels Home Opener on Sept. 23 against Maryland.
