MIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Philadelphia Rebels (19-23-1-1, 40 pts) finish their lengthy road-stretch on Tuesday night when they visit the New Jersey Titans (29-13-1-2, 61 pts).
After Tuesday’s game, the Rebels will have played seven of their eight games in February on the road.
So far this season, the Rebels have won four of the six previous contests between these two teams, including back-to-back wins the last time they met at the end of January.
Philadelphia swept the home-and-home series on Jan. 27-28 with a 3-2 regulation win at home and a 3-2 shootout win on the road.
Jakub Krbecek made 30 saves and stopped seven of eight New Jersey shootout attempts in the win at New Jersey on Jan. 28.
Krbecek has been sensational of late, lifting his save percentage into the top-four in the North American Hockey League at .925.
The Rebels netminder has started 15-straight games and logged a 50-save shutout last Friday at Maryland. It was the first shutout of his career.
New Jersey has not lost many games since late October. In a span of 27 games, the Titans have gone 22-2-1-2 since Oct. 29. Three of their five losses have come against Philadelphia and the Rebels are the only team to beat New Jersey in regulation in that period.
Last weekend, the Titans shutout Johnstown twice, sweeping the weekend with 6-0 and 4-0 victories.
The Rebels are 2-0-0-0 at New Jersey this season.
