SEWELL, NJ – Following Thursday night’s overtime win, the Philadelphia Rebels (24-29-2-1, 51 pts) will hit the ice again on Friday for game two of the three-game series with the Johnstown Tomahawks (28-23-4-1, 51 pts).

Keys to victory on Saturday for the Rebels will be winning the special teams battle, getting the first goal, and limiting turnovers, especially in the defensive zone.

On Thursday night, the Rebels continued to find success on the power play with Connor Sedlak’s power-play tally. The Rebels are five for their last 22 on the man advantage. On the kill, Philadelphia enters Saturday’s game at 81.6% overall. Sedlak’s goal elevated their season power-play percentage to 17.1.

When holding the lead going into the second intermission, they are 16-2-1-0. Last night, the Rebels tallied the first goal, putting them in front heading into the third. Despite the equalizer from Johnstown, the Rebels found a way to pull out an overtime victory.

Philadelphia’s limited Johnstown’s top-scorers on Thursday, outside of a couple of turnovers that led to Johnstown chances. Philadelphia will look to keep care of the puck in Friday’s game in search of a second-straight win.

Puck drop on Friday is at 8 p.m. and can be seen on HockeyTV. Admission at Hollydell Ice Arena is free for all fans.
