Rebels Play Season Finale in Maine on Saturday

LEWISTON, ME – The Philadelphia Rebels’ (26-30-2-1, 55 pts) play their final game of their inaugural season on Saturday night against the Maine Nordiques (33-23-2-1, 69 pts). 

On Friday night, Philadelphia fell behind 4-0 halfway through regulation. From that point forward, the Rebels outscored Maine 4-3, but the hole was too much to dig out of.

In last weekend’s sweep over Johnstown, the Rebels played “full 60-minute games” according to head coach Justin Hale. 

The Rebels, looking to get back to a strong three-period effort, take the ice for the final time this season on Saturday night.

Jakub Krbecek started his 30th straight game on Friday and will look to bounce back on Saturday.

The Rebels offense got tallied four goals from four different players on Friday, and none from their top three scorers. Otto Polakovs scored his second of the season and recorded a multi-point game.

Philadelphia will look to continue to get scoring from all four lines in the season finale on Saturday.
