2023 NAHL Showcase Preview

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) will be hosting its 20th annual Showcase from Wednesday, September 13 to Saturday, September 16 at Super Rink in Blaine, MN. The Rebels will be playing four games.

The Rebels enter the Showcase with a 1 – 1 record splitting last week’s series on the road against the Rochester Jr. Americans.

The Rebels’ schedule is:

Game One: “Away” against the Austin Bruins at 3:00 PM ET
Game Two: “Away” against the Springfield Jr. Blues at 8:45 PM ET
Game Three: “Home” against the North Iowa Bulls at 6:00 PM ET
Game Four: “Home against the Lone Star Brahmas at 10:15 AM ET

The Bruins, Blue and Bulls have yet to play a game this season while the Brahmas split a road series against the New Mexico Ice Wolves.

Last season the Rebels went 2 – 2 having defeated the Corpus Christi Ice Rays (5 – 2) Shreveport Mudbugs (4 – 2) while they fell to Wisconsin Windigo (5 – 1) and the Kenai River Brown Bears (3 – 1).

All NAHL teams will play four regular-season games at the Showcase, which is one of hockey’s most prominent and popular events of the entire season and has become the ‘Greatest Show on Ice.’

The Super Rink is the largest ice arena of its kind in the world. The state-of-the-art facility, a $21 million project totaling over 300,000 square feet, features eight sheets of ice under one roof. With all its varied amenities and services, the Super Rink is absolutely unique in the world of ice sport facilities.
