The Rebels will host the Maine Nordiques this Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7 at the Hollydell Ice Arena with puck drops for both games at 7:30PM. This will be the first time these teams will meet this season. It is one of three series between the teams with the remaining two series being held in Lewiston, ME during the first and fourth weeks of January.
Friday night the Rebels will be having a toy drive. All fans who bring an unwrapped toy will receive a free ticket. Saturday night will be the Herr’s/Dunlop’s Family fun pak night, and there will be a meet and greet immediately following the game. Mikey Conlon, Linas Dedinas, Charles Panchisin, Charlie Spencer, Bryce Strand and Ryan Vaites will be the featured players.
Nordiques vs. Rebels Overview
As previously written, this is the first of three series between the teams this season. Last year each team won four games. The Rebels had two shootout victories. The last time they played was the last game of the regular season last year back on April 7 with the Rebels winning 3 to 1. In all, Maine scored 30 goals to the Rebels 27 in the eight games.
Maine went 21% on the man advantage while the Rebels were 15%. Jared Coccimiglio led the Rebels with six total points (5 goals and 1 assist) and goals (5). Maines netminders had a combined 3.08 goals against average and .899 save percentage with one shutout (back on December 16 with Maine winning 3 – 0). Philadelphia’s goaltenders had a combined 3.58 goals against average and .890 save percentage with no shutouts.
Nordiques Overview
The Nordiques are currently in third place in the East Division with a 14-10-2-1 record for 31 points. They are coming off of being swept a home by New Hampshire Mountain Kings last weekend in which they were shutout in both games (3 – 0 and 1 – 0). They have lost four in a row, four of their last five, and seven of their last ten games. They possess a 5-4-0-0 home record and 9-6-2-1 away record.
The Nordiques have scored 85 goals (seventh in the league), and they have allowed 72 (19th in the league). They have converted on 19.29% of the chances on the man advantage (12th in the league), and their penalty kill is at 85% (13th in the league). Their powerplay at home is 19.61% and penalty kill is 87.5%. The Nordiques powerplay on the road is 19.1% while their penalty kill is 83.72%.
Zion Green leads the Nordiques with 32 total points (6 goals and 26 assists) while Laurent Trepanier leads the team in goals (16). Arhip Sidarovich and Trepanier each have two game winning goals to lead Maine. Trepanier also has a team best +11 while Wade Weil leads Maine with 81 penalty minutes.

Rebels Overview
The Rebels are currently in ninth place in the East Division with a 9-12-2-1 record for 21 points. They are coming off of a bye weekend but the last time they played they were swept on the road to the Mounting Kings during the November 22 weekend. They have lost three games in a row and three out of their last five and six of their last ten games. The Rebels have a 7-3-2-1 home record and a 2-9-0-0 away record (which includes the league showcase).
Philadelphia has scored 79 goals (12th in the league), and they have allowed 88 (26th in the league). They have converted on 15.22% of the chances on the man advantage (22nd in the league), and their penalty kill is at 82.83% (17th in the league). Their powerplay at home is 25% and penalty kill is 85.71%. The Rebels powerplay on the road is 4.55% while their penalty kill is 79.07%.
Charles Panchisin leads the team with 24 total points (7 goals and 17 assists). Ruslan Jamaldinov has a team best nine goals. Jamaldinov also has a team high three game winning goals. Panchisin has a team best +10. Joe Stauber has a team high 47 penalty minutes.
