Crudale named NAHL Goalie of the Month for December

The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Stars of the Month for December and the Rebels’ Owen Crudale was named Goalie of the Month.

Crudale earned his first junior career shutout stopping all 38 shots he faced in the Rebels 1 – 0 shootout win against the Maryland Black Bears back on December 21. During the past month, he had a 3 – 2 record posting 2.00 goals against average and .950 save percentage with the one shutout.

On the season, the San Diego, CA native has an 11-7-2-0 record posting a .922 save percentage and 2.82 goals against average with the one shutout. He has been a workhorse between the pipes this season appearing in 20 of the team’s 28 games. He has played 1,126 minutes so far.

“It is an honor and I could not have done it without the team in front of me, so all the credit in the world to them” stated Crudate. “I think I really dialed in on the little details that I have been working on all season so far. It is starting to show now” said Crudale.

“I am very happy for Owen” stated Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale. “He continues to put in the work every day, both on and off the ice. The guy’s love playing in front of him. He’s made some big saves and helped the team earn some important wins this last month” concluded Hale.
