The North American Hockey League (NAHL) announced today the rosters for its 2025 Top Prospects Tournament which will be held from February 17 – 18, 2025 at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Rebels’ forwards Brock Jones and Caesar Björk have been selected to play for the NAHL Selects Black team in this tournament.
Jones is currently fourth on the team in total points with 26 (4 goals and 22 assists). He leads the team in penalty minutes with 101. The Lakeview, NY native and team’s co-captain is currently fourth in all-time franchise assists with 52; fourth in all-time games played with 146, and third in all-time franchise penalty minutes with 243.
Björk currently leads the team in total points with 34 (14 goals and 20 assists) and goals (14). The Tyresö, Sweden native is in his first and only season with the Rebels. Both players age out at the end of the season.
The 2025 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament will feature six teams. Four of the squads will be divisional teams that consist of athletes from their respective divisions (Central, East, Midwest, South). There will also be two at-large ‘Selects’ teams, Selects Gold and Selects Black.
The rosters for the Central, East, Midwest and South divisions were formed based on each team’s winning percentage within their division as of January 19, 2025. Each division team’s assigned head coach chooses his roster from uncommitted players nominated by the teams in their respective divisions. Just like the selection of rosters, the division coaches were determined by each team’s winning percentage in their respective divisions. The first-place team will have their coach serve as the head coach, while the second-place team secures the assistant coaching spot. The Selects Black squad consists of players from all four divisions and are the remaining nominated uncommitted players. The head coach and assistant coach for the Selects Black square are also determined by winning percentage.
The Selects Gold team was chosen by the NHL Central Scouting Department with additional players being determined by recommendations from Neutral Zone. The team will also be coached by NAHL coaches determined again by winning percentage.
Only those NAHL players without an NCAA commitment are eligible to participate in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, except for those who have been identified by NHL Central Scouting as prospects for the 2025 NHL Draft. Each team has 20 players (12 forwards, 6 defensemen, 2 goalies) for a total of 120 players. 2025 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament Schedule (all times eastern):
