Rebels Aim to Keep Momentum Going Against Titans

Nov 13, 2025

The Philadelphia Rebels and New Jersey Titans meet once again this weekend in a home-and-home series. The opening game of the series will be at Hollydell Ice Arena, before the Rebels take the trip to Middletown Sports Complex for Saturday’s game.

Philadelphia (7-11-0-3) is coming off a strong weekend at home against the Johnstown Tomahawks, earning a 4-1 win Friday before falling 2-1 in a shootout Saturday to extend its point streak to three games. The Rebels continue to show growth under head coach Justin Hale, leaning on strong defensive play and steady goaltending to stay competitive in a tight East Division.

When these teams met in October, it was another evenly matched home-and-home series. The Titans took the opener with a 3-0 shutout. The Rebels responded the next night in Middletown with a 2-0 victory. Cam Wilson scored both goals for Philadelphia, while goaltender Ben Varsa made 33 saves for the shutout.

Charlie Spencer leads the Rebels offensively with 19 points (five goals, 14 assists), followed by Johnny Conlin and Alex Lunski, who each have 15. Abzal Alibek (12 points) and Jordan Brothers (10) have provided key scoring. Varsa has been a steady presence in goal, posting strong numbers through 11 starts and keeping the Rebels competitive in close games.

New Jersey (10-6-1-2) split its most recent series against Maryland, capped by a 4-1 win on Nov. 6. Defenseman Blake Jones leads the Titans with 26 points (two goals, 24 assists) through 19 games. Forwards Skogen Schrott (15 points), Arseniy Zharikov (14), Owen Leahy, and Tate Pecknold (12 each) provide offensive depth. Goaltenders Tyler Rounds and Andrei Nikolaev have shared duties effectively, combining for a .923 save percentage.

With both clubs looking to gain ground in the East Division standings, this weekend’s series is expected to be a hard-fought matchup. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hollydell Ice Arena, New Jersey, and 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Middletown. Both games will be streamed live on NAHL TV.
