SEWELL, N.J. — The Philadelphia Rebels announced Monday that the team has acquired forward Emmet McClaine from the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in exchange for a future asset.
McClaine joins the Rebels after appearing in 31 games with Fairbanks during the 2025–26 season, recording three goals and six assists for nine points. The left-shot forward stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 187 pounds, adding both skill and strength to Philadelphia’s forward group.
“We’re excited to welcome Emmet to the organization,” head coach and general manager Justin Hale said. “He’s a high-character player who competes hard every night, and we believe his skill set will be a great fit with our group moving forward.”
A native of Chicora, Pennsylvania, McClaine has built an impressive résumé through the youth hockey ranks, developing primarily with the Esmark Stars program. During the 2023–24 season, he enjoyed a breakout year at the 16U AAA level, totaling 80 points (35 goals, 45 assists) in 66 games.
The ’07-born forward followed that performance with a strong 2024–25 campaign at the 18U AAA level with Pittsburgh Penguins Elite, where he posted 49 points (18 goals, 31 assists) in 52 games.
With Fairbanks, McClaine continued to adjust to the pace and physicality of junior hockey, gaining valuable experience against top competition.
Philadelphia returns to the ice on Friday as it continues its road trip, squaring off against the Northeast Generals.
