SEWELL, N.J. — The Philadelphia Rebels have signed goaltender Mathieu Raymond, bringing in a 6-foot-3, right-catching netminder with extensive international junior experience and a strong development track through Sweden’s top youth leagues.

Raymond, 19, was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He most recently played with AIK U20 in Sweden’s U20 Nationell league, where he posted a .931 save percentage and a 2.31 goals-against average in 11 appearances during the 2025-26 regular season.

“We are very excited to add a goalie of Mathieu’s ability and experience,” Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale said. “He has good size, athleticism, and competes on every puck.”

The goaltender developed through the Swedish system, including stops with SDE HF and Huddinge IK, where he produced strong numbers at both the J18 and J20 levels. In 2024-25 with Huddinge IK J20 Region, Raymond recorded a 1.52 GAA and a .930 save percentage.

He also gained North American experience with the Connecticut Jr. Rangers in the USPHL Premier, appearing in two games during the 2024-25 season.

The Rebels add Raymond as the organization looks ahead to the 2026-27 campaign, strengthening the depth in net heading into the upcoming season.
