The North American Hockey League announced it monthly awards for the month of September and Rebels forward Andrew Bellant and goaltender Mareks Mitens were named honorable mention for their respective position.
Bellant – a Linden, MI native – had six points during September. He had four goals and two assists. He finished the month with five points on September 30 against the Northeast Generals tallying two goals and three assists. Bellant was just named the East Division’s star of the week for weekending October 1.
Mitens, a Ventspids Latvia name, had a 3 – 1 record during September. All three wins were shutouts. He had a .949 save percentage and a 1.20 goals against average. Mitens was named honorable mention for the East Division’s star of the week for weekending October 1.
