Rebels’ upcoming Alaskan trip to be blogged by Blackmun and Kapcheck

Jan 16, 2017

Last year when the Rebels went to Alaska Rebels forward Frankie Spellman wrote a daily blog on the team’s activities. It was very successful and well read. To replicate last year’s success forward Drew Blackmun and defenseman Brennan Kapcheck will be writing it this year. The daily blog – Blazing the Alaskan Trail –  will be posted on the website and social media channels, and it will include pictures. Kappy has mentioned it could include a VLOG (video log).

The Rebels will leave on Wednesday, January 18 at 5:30pm on an Alaskan Air flight that will depart from Philadelphia International Airport to Seattle, WA and ultimately to Anchorage, AK. They then will take bus to Kenai River, AK. They will play the Brown Bears on January 20 and 21. The team will stay in Kenai a few days before they travel to Fairbanks to play the Ice Dogs on January 27 and 28. Upon the conclusion of their last game the boys will fly back to Philly and will arrive early evening on Sunday, January 29.

You will learn what the boys go through on a daily basis and how they prepare for the games. In addition to preparing for each game, the boys will be fighting against the elements – temperatures are expected to be a -45degrees Fahrenheit.

Make sure you visit our website on a daily basis. We know you will enjoy this year’s blog as well.
