Brown returns for second stint as Rebels assistant coach

Jul 26, 2018

The Jamestown Rebels are pleased to announce that former assistant coach Josh Brown is returning to the team in the same capacity.

Brown originally started with the organization as an assistant coach during the Killer Bees last season (2014-15) in Rio Grande Valley, TX and its first year (2015-16) in Aston. He oversaw the defense and power play. He helped guide the Bees to a playoff berth as well as the Rebels to their first East Division championship.

The Dexter, MI native spent the past two seasons as the head coach for Arizona State University’s Division I ACHA team.

“I’m so excited to return to the organization” stated Brown. “I’m thrilled to be working with Coombsy (Joe Coombs) again. Hopefully our first year in Jamestown we’ll replicate the success we had in Aston but with a different ending by winning the Robertson Cup” concluded Brown.

“I’m ecstatic to have Brownie back on staff” said Rebels general manager and head coach Joe Coombs. “I’m looking forward to working with him again. I couldn’t be happier” stated Coombs.
