The Philadelphia Rebels, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman and Assistant Captain Bryce Strand has committed to play NCAA Division I Ice Hockey for the Minnesota State University Mankato Mavericks who play in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) conference. His commitment begins in the fall of September 2025.

Strand played 150 games in his three-year career with the Rebels – which ranks him fourth in most games played in franchise history. During that time, he recorded 33 total points (5 goals and 28 assists). This past season the Appleton, WI native had 20 total points (1 goal and 19 assists) in 54 games played.

“I want to thank Coach Hale, Coach Biondo, and Coach Matty for their support in helping me achieve my goal of playing Division I hockey,” said Strand. “They’ve been my biggest supporters throughout this journey and have played a huge role in shaping me into the person and player I am today” added Strand.

“I am super excited for Bryce,” said Rebels Head Coach and General Manager Justin Hale. “He is another one of our guys that has been here since the beginning.  Bryce has trusted the process, approached every day the right way, been an outstanding teammate, and now is being rewarded. I look forward to continuing to follow his journey at the Division 1 level,” concluded Hale
