The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending February 18th and Rebels’ forward Jared Coccimiglio and defenseman Ryan Vaites were named honorable mention for the East Division.
Coccimiglio had three total points (2 goals and 1 assist) during this past weekend’s sweep over the Danbury Hat Tricks. He scored during regulation in Friday’s 3 – 2 shootout win and in Saturday’s 5 – 4 overtime victory. He had an assist on Vaites game winning overtime goal. The Oakville, ON native is second on the team in total points with 26 (14 goals and 12 assists) and goals (14).
Vaites opened and closed Saturday’s win with scoring his first goal of the season just 1:26 into the game to give the Rebels the lead, and then he closed the game with his overtime goal to give the Rebels a 5 – 4 win. On the season, the Mullica Hill, NJ native has eleven points (2 goals and 9 assists) in 36 games.
