And on the final day God said let there be light! The last day of the ever so long Alaskan road trip was here. Snow was falling and morale was high following a big win on Friday night. However, the last day would turn out to be a dreary one.
As any typical Saturday game would go, a routine of breakfast, rest, lunch, rest and video pursued. Leading up until the final game of this road trip, it was imperative that the boys get some needed rest. It’s never easy to beat a team in their own barn but beating them twice is even harder.
Pregame rituals pursued from the start of the day until the end but unfortunately they would not lead to the outcome as pleased. A tough loss for the Rebels and the road trip was over.
While the magnificent Alaskan road trip ended in unexpected fashion, the boys, nonetheless, have added an incredible experience to their lives. Bonding, joy and sadness were spread all over the Alaskan tundra. This will be a trip that will never be forgotten.
