Day 9 was pretty uneventful. We took the day to change our mindset from having fun to focusing on getting the job done on Friday and Saturday nights. After breakfast we headed back to the Big Dipper ice arena for practice. We took our practice back indoors to get a feel for their ice surface and to get our legs back under us. We had a really good practice, getting up and down the ice with a high pace.
Before we headed to dinner, we had a video session in the lobby of the hotel. We watched clips from the previous game against Fairbanks to get some reminders on what made us successful. After video we went to dinner at Tubby’s BBQ in Fairbanks. Chicken and rice were on the menu, and they were great fuel for the upcoming weekend.
