ATTLEBORO, MA – The Philadelphia Rebels (17-20-1-1, 36 pts) hit the road to face the Northeast Generals (22-14-4-1, 49 pts) this Thursday and Friday.
Here are five things to know ahead of the series:
1. Road Rebels
This season, the Rebels are 9-7-1-0 in true road games, including 1-1-0-0 at Northeast.
Thursday and Friday will be the Rebels’ fourth and fifth consecutive road games. In February, the Rebels have just one home contest (Feb. 21 vs MYD).
Philadelphia has five of the next six on the road before opening March at home.
2. My Favorite Deputy
David Deputy regained the team lead in points with a goal and an assist last weekend at Maine.
After going pointless for three games, Deputy has points in four of his last five with two goals and two assists.
Overall, Deputy has 13 goals and leads the Rebels with 16 assists and 29 points.
3. Finish Strong
The Rebels have been able to finish series strongly of late. They have won four of their last seven series-ending contests, including four victories.
In their last trip to Attleboro, the Rebels rebounded from a game-one loss with a hard-fought overtime victory on Jan. 20 to wrap up the series.
4. Last Time Out
Philadelphia fell in a pair of games to Maine last weekend, but were able to get two big offensive pieces back on the board.
Dom Foglia scored his first goal since late November and extended his team lead in goals by a defenseman. Foglia has five goals for the Rebels and eight total after starting the season in Corpus Christi.
Deputy also extended his strong stretch to five games. He has four points in his last five after two points at Maine.
5. Scouting the Generals
The Generals have the league’s three highest individual point scorers with David Andreychuk (58), Paul Minnehan (53) and Jake LaRusso (48).
Andreychuk leads the league in assists with 44, while LaRusso leads the league in goals with 27.
Northeast is sixth in the league in scoring with 139 goals, but can be susceptible to opposing offenses. The Generals have allowed 133, a total in the bottom third in the NAHL.
