The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending September 24 and Rebels netminder Lukas Fursten and forward Max Marquette were named honorable mention for the East Division.
Fursten stood on his head in Saturday’s heartbreaking 1 – 0 loss to the visiting Johnstown Tomahawks. Fursten had stopped 34 of 35 posting a 1.03 goals against average and a .971 save percentage.
On the season, the Trencin, Slovakia native has a 1 – 3 record with a 2.21 goals against average and .946 save percentage with no shutouts.
Marquette had two assists in Friday’s contest against Johnstown. On the season, the Farmington Hills, MI native leads the Rebels with nine total points (3 goals and 6 assists) in eight games.
This is the second straight week that Marquette was named honorable mention for the East Division’s Star of the Week.
