The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending September 22 and Rebels’ forward Ruslan Jamaldinov was named the East Division’s Star of the Week.
Jamaldinov had four total points (2 goals and 2 assists) during this past weekend’s home sweep over the Johnstown Tomahawks. He scored a goal in Friday’s 3 – 1 win, and he had a goal and two assists in Saturday’s 5 – 3 victory. On the season, the Sweden native leads the Rebels in goals (four) and is second on the team in total points (six).
“RJ has been a great addition to our forward group this season,” said Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale. “He is a smooth skater with great offensive instincts. I was very happy to see him find the scoresheet and help our team to a solid weekend,” concluded Hale.
