The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending March 23 and Rebels’ forward Ruslan Jamaldinov was named the East Division’s Star of the Week.
Jamaldinov had three total points (all goals) in this past weekend’s split with the Maryland Black Bears. He had a pair of goals in Friday’s contest and he had a goal in Saturday’s 6 – 2 win. In all, the Luleå, Sweden native has 33 total points (20 goals and 13 assists). He leads the Rebels with 20 goals.
“I am very happy for Ruslan” stated Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale. “He is playing with a ton of confidence right now and continues to get better as the year goes on. Over the last few games, he has scored some big-time goals for us” concluded Hale.
This is the third time this season that Jamaldinov has received weekly/monthly league honors. He was Star of the Week for week ending September 22, and he was third star for week ending November 10.
