SEWELL, NJ – Rebels goaltender Jakub Krbecek and forward Connor Sedlak have been named North American Hockey League’s East Division Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week.
Krbecek has been tabbed as the East Division’s First Star from the past weekend.
In two games against Danbury, Krbecek won both and stopped 54 of 56 shots. He added an assist as well on Sedlak’s overtime game-winning goal on Friday.
“Jakub was solid all weekend for us. He competed hard and made some timely saves for our group when we needed them the most. We are happy for him to get this award. He’s worked hard behind the scenes and been a consistent performer for our group to this point,” said Rebels head coach Justin Hale.
For the season, Krbecek has a .916 save percentage and 2.72 goals against average over 15 games played.
Sedlak was added to the weekly list as an East Division Honorable Mention. He scored the overtime goal in Friday’s win to start off the weekend-sweep for Philadelphia and cap off his 20th birthday.
On the whole, Sedlak scored twice and recorded three points in the winning-weekend.
His seven goals are most on the team and he is tied for the third-highest point total on the team (10).
