Maguyon, Appendino and Billing recognized for February’s NAHL’s monthly player awards

The North American Hockey League announced today its February monthly player awards and Rebels forward Aaron Maguyon, defenseman Nico Appendino and goaltender Eli Billing were named honorable mention for their respective position.

Maguyon had ten points (5 goals and 5 assists) in nine games in February. One of his goals was the game winner in overtime of February 14 to give the Rebels a 4 – 3 win over New Jersey. He also had a goal in the Rebels shootout win on February 7. The Egg Harbor Twp., NJ is second on the team in total points with forty-one (19 goals and 22 assists). He is second on the team in goals. He played for the East Division in the recently concluded Top Prospects Tournament. This is the third time this season that Maguyon was named honorable mention for a monthly award. November and December were the other months.

Appendino had four points (all assists) in nine games. He has a total of five points (all assists) in sixteen games this season. He was named the East Division’s second star of the week for week ending February 18.

Billing had a 4 – 2 record in February where he allowed 15 goals for a 2.10 goals against average and .918 save percentage with two shutouts (both against New Jersey). The Tecumseh, ON native has a 14-7-0-3 record in twenty-three games possessing a 2.40 goals against average and .907 save percentage with three shutouts. This is the first time Billing has received NAHL weekly/monthly recognition.
