The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending March 18 and Rebels defenseman Carson Moniz and forward Auggie Moore were named honorable mention for the East Division.
Moniz had five points this past weekend (2 goals and 3 assists). Both of his goals game in Thursday’s 7 – 3 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. Moniz is seventh on the team in total points with twenty-five (9 goals and 16 assists). He is the top point leader among the team’s defensemen. He has a team high +15 +/- ratio.
This is the third time Moniz has received recognition from the league. He was named honorable mention for the East Division’s player of the week for week ending March 4, and he was named the East Division’s Star of the Week for week ending January 7.
Moore had four points (2 goals and 2 assists) this past weekend. He had a goal in Friday night’s 7 – 3 win and had another goal in yesterday’s game against the New Jersey Titans. The Edina, MN native has twenty-three points (11 goals and 12 assists) on the season. This is the first time this season that Moore has received recognition from the league.
