The North American Hockey League announced its Players of the Month awards for the month of February and Rebels forward Charles Panchisin and defenseman Sonny DiNubile were named honorable mention for their respective positions.
Panchisin had fourteen total points (8 goals and 6 assists) in the month. The Vernon Hill, IL native leads the team with 46 total points (20 goals and 26 assists) and goals (20). He has a team best +17. He is 23rd overall in the league with most points and 17th in the league with most goals. He played for the NAHL’s Silver Selects team in the Top Prospects Tournament held earlier in the month.
This is the ninth time this season that Panchisin has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was named first star of the week for week ending January 7; Second Star of the Week for Weeks Ending November 19, December 31 and February 11; He was honorable mention for weeks ending November 26 and December 10. He was named honorable mention for forward of the month for December and January.
DiNubile had five points (2 goals and 3 assists) in February. The team’s captain leads all Rebels defensemen with fourteen total points (3 goals and 11 assists), goals (three) and plus/minus with +7.
This is the fourth time this season that the Philadelphia, PA native DiNubile has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was honorable mention for the East Division’s star of the week for weeks ending November 19, February 4 and 11.
