The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending December 31 and Rebels forward Charles Panchisin was named the East Division’s second star of the week while defenseman Luke deVries was named honorable mention.
Panchisin had four total points (1 goal and 3 assists) during this past weekend’s split with the Maine Nordiques. He had an assist in Saturday’s contest and a goal and two assists in Sunday’s shootout win. The Vernon Hill, IL native leads the team with 25 total points (8 goals and 17 assists).
This is the third time this season that Panchisin has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was named second star of the week for week ending November 19 and honorable mentioned November 26.
deVries had three points (all assists) this past weekend. He had an assist in Saturday’s contest and two assists in Sunday’s victory. The team’s captain leads all Rebels defensemen with eighteen total points (1 goal and 17 assists).
This is the third time this season that deVries has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was honorable mention for defenseman of the month (October) and honorable mention for the week ending October 8.
