The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending February 11 and Rebels forward Charles Panchisin was named the East Division’s second star of the week while defenseman Sonny DiNubile was named honorable mention.
Panchisin had four total points (1 goal and 3 assists) during this past weekend’s split with the Johnstown Tomahawks. He had an assist in Friday’s contest and a goal and two assists in Saturday’s 4 – 2 win. The Vernon Hill, IL native leads the team with 38 total points (15 goals and 23 assists) and goals (15).
This is the eighth time this season that Panchisin has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was named first star of the week for week ending January 7; second star of the week for weeks ending November 19 and December 31 and honorable mentioned November 26 and December 10. He was named honorable mention for forward of the month for December and January.
He was a member of the NAHL’s Top Prospect Tournament.
DiNubile had two assists this past weekend. He had an assist in each game. The Philadelphia, PA native leads all Rebels defensemen with 14 total points (3 goals and 11 assists) and goals (three).
This is the third time this season that DiNubile has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was honorable mention for weeks ending November 19 and February 4.
