Rebels and ‘Hawks Complete Weekend Series

JOHNSTOWN, PA – The Philadelphia Rebels (3-7-0-0, 6 pts) complete their road series with the Johnstown Tomahawks (2-4-2-0, 6 pts) on Saturday night in Johnstown, PA.

In the series opener, a third-period Rebels comeback was thwarted by Johnstown. Trailing 2-0, Philadelphia capitalized on a power play when David Deputy scored his third goal of the season with 7:42 left in regulation.

Philadelphia later pulled goaltender Jakub Krbecek, but could not find the tying goal in the final minutes.

Deputy leads the team with eight points on the season and has points in four of his last five games.

Krbecek made 23 saves and raised his save percentage to .918 for the season.

Saturday’s game will be the third of the season between the two teams, with each team taking one of the first two.

All three games have been played in Johnstown and the teams will wrap up this weekend series in Johnstown with one trying to take the edge in the season series.
