The Philadelphia Rebels have announced the dates of their 2018 camps. The first is a combo camp which will be held in collaboration with the Austin Bruins and will take place from May 18 – 20 at Suburban Ice in East Lansing, MI. It will be two camps for the price of one!
The prospects camp will be held from June 1 – 3 at the IceWorks Skating Complex in Aston, PA. Main Camp will be held at IceWorks from July 6 – 10. However, main camp is by invitation only!
The combo and prospect camps provide players (birth years 1998 – 2002) with an opportunity to build a relationship with the coaching/scouting staff, make connections with players from all over North America, get on the radar, and most importantly, provide you with the exposure and opportunity to showcase your abilities ahead of the 2018-19 season and NAHL draft on June 5th, 2018.
In addition to at least four scrimmages during each game to showcase your abilities, the camps provide the player (and parent) with information and knowledge that will help you further your development on and off the ice.
At the combo camp, the Bruins and Rebels camps will hold presentations covering a variety of topics. The same topics will be covered at the prospect camp. Topics for discussion are:
- Parents will have the opportunity to attend an educational presentation by the Rebels coaching staff detailing the various paths to the North American Hockey League and beyond
- Goalies on each team will have the opportunity to attend a presentation from a Goalie Coach
- Players will receive advice on nutrition, strength training and summer workout plans
