The Philadelphia Rebels are pleased to announce that team captain and defenseman Sonny DiNubile has committed to play NCAA Division III Ice Hockey for the Neumann University Knights who play in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC). His commitment begins in the fall of September 2024.
DiNubile played two seasons with the Rebels. He had 39 total points (6 goals and 33 assists) in 116 games played. He is twelfth on the Rebels all-time games played list.
This year the Philadelphia, PA native had 16 total points (4 goals and 12 assists) in 59 games. He received weekly/monthly league recognition four times this season. He was honorable mention for the NAHL’s East Division’s Star of the Week for weeks ending November 19, February 4 and 11, and he was honorable mention for defenseman of the month for February.
“I would like to thank my teammates and coaches for helping me grow over the past years” stated DiNubile. “I would like to thank the Rebels coaching staff and most importantly my parents for helping me achieve my goal to play college hockey. I’m excited to further my education and career at Neumann! Let’s go knights” said DiNubile.
