Rebels clinch third straight regular season East Division championship with New Jersey loss

Mar 17, 2018

The Philadelphia Rebels clinched their third straight regular season East Division championship tonight as the New Jersey Titans lost this evening to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 7 – 6. Even if the Titans were to win the rest of their nine remaining games, they would earn at most 76 points, which is one point less than the 77 the Rebels currently have earned.

The Rebels will play the Titans tomorrow at 3:05pm at the Class of 1923.

The win assures the Rebels of home ice advantage throughout the Robertson Cup divisional semi-finals and divisional finals should they advance. The divisional semi-finals are tentatively scheduled to begin on or around April 13. Confirmed dates and opponent will be announced at a later date. The Knights and Titans are tied for second place with fifty-eight points, although the Titans have two games in hand.
