SEWELL, N.J. — The Philadelphia Rebels completed a commanding weekend sweep with a 4–2 victory over the New Hampshire Mountain Kings on Saturday night, building on the momentum of Friday’s 5–1 win and continuing their climb up the East Division standings.
The Rebels set the tone early, thanks to sustained offensive pressure and sharp puck movement. Forward Alex Lunski opened the scoring midway through the first period, finishing off a gorgeous pass from Billy Sheridan to give Philadelphia the early edge. Just minutes later, Sheridan doubled the lead, capitalizing on a defensive breakdown to beat New Hampshire goaltender Jake Kunzon and make it 2–0.
New Hampshire pushed back late in the frame and managed to cut the deficit to 2–1 before the first intermission, seizing some momentum despite being matched shot-for-shot by the Rebels throughout the period.
Philadelphia quickly erased any chance of a Mountain Kings surge when Jordan Brothers struck less than 90 seconds into the second period. The Mountain Kings responded later in the third, narrowing the score to 3–2, but the Rebels held firm defensively as the final minutes ticked away.
With under five minutes remaining, Broxton Ingle delivered the insurance marker Philadelphia needed, blasting a shot from the slot to push the lead to 4–2. Ingle’s goal effectively halted New Hampshire’s late-game momentum and secured the Rebels’ sweep.
Sheridan led Philadelphia with a goal and two assists, while Lunski, Brothers and Ingle each scored once. Defenseman Luke Janviriya and forward Dylan Moran added assists. Goaltender Ilja Nikitins stopped 32 of 34 shots for the win.
For New Hampshire, Joey Sylvester and Mikhail Cherepanov scored the two goals, and Aidan Petroff recorded the lone assist. Kunzon made 22 saves on 26 shots.
With the win, Philadelphia improved to 11-12-1-3, continuing a strong stretch of home play. New Hampshire dropped to 7-14-1-2 with the loss.
