ATTLEBORO, MA – The Philadelphia Rebels (14-18-1-1, 30 pts) dropped the first contest of a two-game road series against the Northeast Generals (20-11-3-1, 44 pts) on Thursday night, 9-1.

The Rebels were unable to stop a quick start by the Generals, as Northeast led 2-0 after the first period with goals from Paul Minnehan and Andrew DellaDonna.

Ryan Remick continued the Generals hot start in the second period, scoring just seconds after the Rebels killed a Northeast power play. Five minutes later, the Generals extended their lead to 4-0 with a score from Jake LaRusso.

Klaus Jogi got the Rebels on the board in the second period with his ninth goal of the season, and Jogi now has three goals in his last four games.

After Jogi’s tally, the Rebels were unable to generate many good chances in the Northeast zone the rest of the contest.

Northeast scored early in each of the three periods and the Rebels were unable to bounce back.

The Rebels will look to bounce back tomorrow night in the series finale against Northeast.
