SEWELL, NJ- After two days of action, the Philadelphia Rebels (7-13-0-1) and the Johnstown Tomahawks (8-10-3-0) will wrap up their three-game weekend set Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Hollydell.
The Rebels won game one Friday night in come-from-behind fashion thanks to two second-period goals from Max Marquette for the 5-3 win.
On Saturday night, the Tomahawks came back from down 1-0 to even the series. After Dominic Foglia scored his second goal with the Rebels to give the team a 1-0 lead, Johnstown went on to score three unanswered goals and won 3-1.
The two teams head into Sunday’s game each with a win and a loss thus far in the three game series. Saturday’s loss ended the Rebels’ three-game winning streak that began in Danbury last weekend.
Jakub Krbecek was solid in net for the Rebels Saturday night, stopping 26 of 28 shots he faced. The Rebels will look to regain their offensive rhythm on Sunday. After scoring seven and five goals in back-to-back games, they were only able to score one on Saturday.
The series finale can be seen live on HockeyTV tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. Admission will be free for all fans.
