Mar 12, 2026

SEWELL, N.J. — The Philadelphia Rebels head to New York this weekend for a two-game series against the Elmira Aviators as both teams look to gain ground in the standings.

Philadelphia enters the weekend with an 18-24-2-6 record (44 points), sitting ninth in the division. Elmira is just behind the Rebels with 42 points, making the matchup important for both clubs as the regular season begins to wind down.

The series will mark the teams’ fourth and fifth meetings of the season. The Rebels have won all three previous matchups and will look to continue that success with both games being played in Elmira.

Offensively, Jordan Brothers leads Philadelphia with 31 points (16 goals, 15 assists) in 50 games. Abzal Alibek has also been a key contributor with 27 points on the season. Additional production has come from Billy Sheridan with 22 points and Brayton Frick with 21 points.

Defenseman Joe Stauber has also contributed offensively from the blue line with eight goals and 21 points. The North American Hockey League recently recognized Stauber as the East Division Third Star of the Week after recording a hat trick Saturday against the Maryland Black Bears.

In goal, Ilja Nikitins has carried the bulk of the workload for Philadelphia, appearing in 33 games and posting a .916 save percentage.

Elmira enters the series led by Evan Dantas, who tops the Aviators with 47 points. Matt Maglio has added 43 points, while Corson Maguire has contributed 33 points, including 18 goals. Max Campbell has also been a consistent offensive presence with 31 points.

On defense, Andrew Horn leads Elmira blueliners with 22 points this season. Between the pipes, the Aviators have primarily relied on Aiden McKenna, while Max Larsson has posted a .909 save percentage in limited action.

With only a few weeks remaining in the regular season and just two points separating the teams in the standings, the weekend series in Elmira could play an important role in the East Division race.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
