SEWELL, NJ – The Philadelphia Rebels (8-15-0-1, 17 pts) will wrap up a two-game weekend series with the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (2-22-1-1, 5 pts) tonight with puck-drop coming at 7:30 p.m.
The team’s played the series-opener on Friday night as the Rebels came back from a 2-1 deficit to win 4-2.
In the game, the Rebels saw the season debut of forward Carter Casper, who slid into the lineup on the top line in Friday’s game. Casper’s return provided the Rebels with a boost in both ends of the ice, including scoring the game-winning goal.
Klaus Jogi gave the Rebels a 1-0 lead, but it was quickly erased as the Hat Tricks scored 1:12 later. Danbury finished the first with another goal and took a lead into the second.
Jogi and Casper each potted goals during the second period, giving Philadelphia the lead going into the final frame.
Oliver Band’s empty net goal with 46 seconds left sealed the win for Philadelphia.
Philadelphia has won three-straight against Danbury as the teams enter the final game of this weekend’s series.
