SEWELL, N.J. — The Philadelphia Rebels have tendered forward Reid Hmura, securing the rights to a young forward who already gained valuable experience with the organization during the 2025-26 season.
Hmura, 17, appeared in four games for the Rebels in the NAHL last season while continuing his development with Chicago Mission 16U AAA. The 5-foot-10, 154-pound right-shot forward previously recorded 50 points in 69 games with Chicago Mission 15U AAA during the 2024-25 season.
A native of Downers Grove, Illinois, Hmura has developed in the Chicago Mission program, competing against elite competition. Known for his skill, hockey sense and offensive creativity, he has established himself as one of the top young forwards in his age group.
“Reid did a tremendous job in his time with us at the end of the season,” Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale said. “He showed that he’s ready to make the jump to junior hockey. Reid is a 200 ft player with a good skillset, compete and hockey IQ.”
Having already spent time in a Rebels uniform, Hmura brings familiarity with the organization as the team continues building for the future.
