SEWELL, N.J. — The Philadelphia Rebels have named defensemen Mikey Conlon and Gavin Callahan and forward Justin Vlassis as assistant captains for the 2026-27 season.
“We’re proud to have Mikey, Gavin, and Justin serving as our assistant captains,” Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale said. “Each of them brings a different leadership quality to our room, but they all share the same commitment to our team, our standards, and the Rebel Way. They’ve earned the trust of their teammates, and we’re confident they’ll be important leaders for us throughout the season.”
All three return to Philadelphia after playing key roles with the Rebels last season.
Conlon, a 19-year-old defenseman from Rockville Centre, New York, enters his third season with the Rebels. He recorded three goals and 19 assists for 22 points in 51 games during the 2025-26 season, leading Rebels defensemen in scoring.
The 6-foot-1, 181-pound right-shot defenseman has appeared in 91 NAHL games over his first two seasons in Philadelphia, totaling 28 points. Conlon also appeared in three games with the USHL’s Omaha Lancers last season.
Vlassis returns for his second season in Philadelphia after recording five goals and 10 assists for 15 points in 48 games last season. The 19-year-old Ashburn, Virginia, native joined the Rebels after spending part of the 2024-25 season with the Colorado Grit, where he played 15 NAHL games.
The 6-foot, 165-pound forward has appeared in 63 career NAHL games entering the season.
Callahan also returns for his second season with the Rebels. The 18-year-old defenseman from Hull, Massachusetts, appeared in 50 games during his rookie NAHL season, recording four assists.
Before joining Philadelphia, Callahan spent three seasons with Mount St. Charles Academy, developing through its 14U, 15U and 16U programs.
Conlon, Vlassis and Callahan join captain Broxton Ingle as the Rebels’ leadership group for the 2026-27 season.
The Rebels open the 2026-27 regular season Friday night against the Maryland Black Bears at Hollydell Ice Arena.
