Sep 2, 2022

SEWELL, NJ – The Philadelphia Rebels open up the preseason with two games this weekend, beginning Friday afternoon at home against the Johnstown Tomahawks.

Friday will be the first game for the Rebels at home in Hollydell Ice Arena as well as the first chance to see the team in action this season.

Players vying for roster spots will have a chance to make their case for Head Coach Justin Hale during game action this weekend.

On Saturday, the Rebels will travel north to face the defending champion New Jersey Titans. The weekend set will be the only two chances the Rebels have against North American Hockey League competition this preseason. Philadelphia will play two games next week on the road against the United States Hockey League’s Youngstown Phantoms.

Friday’s home contest against Johnstown will begin at 3 p.m. in Hollydell Ice Arena. Saturday’s road game starts at 3:35 p.m. in New Jersey’s Middletown Ice Arena. Both games this weekend, and all Rebels games throughout the season, will be available to stream on HockeyTV.
