ATTLEBORO, MA- After coming from behind Thursday afternoon to beat the Generals (23-15-4-1, 51 pts), the Rebels (18-21-1-1, 38 pts) could not do the same in a 2-0 loss on Friday night.
The Rebels had chances in the game, but were unable to capitalize and solve goaltender Toby Hopp.. Philadelphia had three power plays in the contest, and could not score despite generating multiple good looks.
Northeast held a 33-22 shot advantage in the game, but Ryan Remick’s first-period tally held up the rest of the night.
The Generals didn’t score again until an empty-net goal after the Rebels pulled Jakub Krbecek for an extra attacker in the final two minutes of regulation.
Krbecek stopped 31 of 32 shots in the contest, following a 38-save win on Thursday.
Now with a ten-day layoff in between games, the Rebels will return home on Feb. 21 for their lone home game of February against Maryland.
