SEWELL, N.J. — The Philadelphia Rebels have tendered defenseman Edvin Persson Norén, adding an experienced Swedish blueliner with a strong two-way game.

Persson Norén, 19, most recently played with HV71 U20 in Sweden’s U20 Nationell league during the 2025-26 season. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound left-shot defenseman recorded 10 points in 30 regular-season games and added five points in seven relegation-round contests.

A native of Jönköping, Sweden, Persson Norén developed through the HV71 system before playing for Tingsryds AIF, where he continued to grow offensively at both the J18 and J20 levels. During the 2024-25 season with Tingsryds AIF J20, he totaled 16 points in 26 games.

“Edvin is a defenseman who can contribute on both ends of the ice,” Rebels head coach and general manager Justin Hale said. “He possesses good puck skills and skating to impact the game every shift.”

Known for his puck-moving ability and physical play, Persson Norén brings extensive experience to the Rebels’ blue line heading into the 2026-27 season.
