The Rebels will be having their first ever Teddy Bear Toss on Sunday, December 20 against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. Any person who brings a new or used teddy bear can purchase a ticket for $6. All teddy bears will be donated to the Community Action Agency of Delaware County.
“We are honored to work with such a venerable organization such as CAADC” stated John Giacobbo, Vice President of Hockey Operations for Aston Rebels. “We admire and respect their commitment to giving back to the community,” concluded Giacobbo.
Regardless of the new or used teddy bear donated, a person can purchase a ticket for only $6 – regularly $9. Bears can be brought in between rinks 3 and 4 at the IceWorks Skating Complex. The game begins at 5:00pm. Once the Rebels score their first goal of the game, fans will be able to toss their bear onto the ice. The bears then will be collected and donated to CAADC.
