SEWELL, NJ- The Philadelphia Rebels (2-3-0-0, 4 pts) will play their second of two weekend games against the Maryland Black Bears (6-1-0-0 12 pts) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Hollydell Ice Arena.
In a 5-0 defeat on Friday, the Rebels were unable to generate any offense in the matchup, getting outshot heavily in the contest. Jakub Krbecek made 33 stops in the loss, while Jack Fialkoff came on to make 20 saves on 20 shots in relief in the third period. Philadelphia’s offense managed seven first-period shots, but not much in the final 40 minutes after.
The Rebels were shutout for the first time this season on Friday night after scoring four in their win over Shreveport last weekend. Leading point-scorer Greg Spitznagel (1-3-4) and the Rebels will look to turn that around on Saturday night in the series finale.
Philadelphia will return to the ice on Saturday night looking to create more offensively and test Maryland in its own zone.
Admission is free for all fans at Hollydell Ice Arena Saturday or the game can be seen live on HockeyTV.
